The eccentric name chosen for this new range is, of course, a play on Wrattonbully,
the region on the Limestone Coast Lying between Padthaway and Coonawarra from
where most of the fruit is sourced.
This Classic Australian blend could not come from a better region than Wrattonbully.
60% Cabernet and 40% Shiraz, the grapes are traditionally fermented before transfer
to French oak barrels, 15% new, for 12 months maturation. A deep coloured wine
with rich, chocolaty fruit and smooth, mouth-filling tannins. Good ageing potential.
Tasting Notes
Complex and elegant with powerful fruit, a spicy finish and fine, well-balanced
tannins.
